Jaguar Land Rover has revealed it is going to build cars in China, starting with either the Freelander 2 or Evoque. Jaguar Land Rover has revealed that it going to build cars outside the UK for the first time (as opposed to re-assembling Freelander 2 CKD kits as it does in India) in a plant just north of Shanghai. As this is China, official permission from the Chinese government is required, but with the joint venture between Chery and JLR now official its seems unlikely to be a problem as JLR will already have agreed to Chery producing JLR cars with Chery badges on.
The new NSX got its first outing at the Detroit Auto Show in 2012 and is being developed by Honda in the US with the aim of producing a ‘green’ supercar with advanced environmental performance without sacrificing on-road performance. The 2015 NSX will not only be designed in the US, but built there too
The new NSX gets a mid-mounted direct-injection V6 which drives power through Honda’s Sport hybrid SH-AWD system with 2 electric motors that can apply positive or negative torque to the front wheels during cornering which, say Honda, will deliver handling unmatched by other all-wheel-drive systems. GERMAN car maker Audi has released the first details about its revised A6 range. Key improvements centre on styling, equipment, engine performance and efficiency, with the first customer deliveries expected before the end of the year. Revised prices have yet to be announced but Audi is expecting the updated range to start from £32,000.
